The problem of specialized text translation (including economic text translation) was researched by many linguists in Russian and abroad. There are also different scientific articles written by economists, because economists are used to deal with economic texts in origin and in translation. Economic texts also can be different: there are financial texts, marketing texts, banking texts, business texts and other texts describing special area, field of economics. These texts also can be scientific or popular.

Theoretical relevance of the present research consists in the fact that the research of economic metaphor can be used in writing tutorials and different training materials on linguistics of English and the theory of translation.
The important researches in the sphere of polysemy were made by Lyon who considers polysemy and homonymy as two types of lexical ambiguity and introduce some criteria for deciding when it is polysemy and when it is homonymy. One criterion is etymological information about the lexical item in question. Lexical items with the same origin are considered as polysemantic, whereas if they have evolved from distinct lexemes in some earlier stage of the language then they are regarded as homonymous [15].
Therefore, before beginning a translation it is necessary and useful to scan into the context of enunciation (life of the writer, historical period) in order to be introduced to the actual source text. From the other hand there are problems that do not connected to the psychological sphere. To solve the problems of the paper we use such method as description.
The great philosopher Martin Heidegger argued that language is the «home of life», believing that language does not only reflect, but creates a reality in which a man lives. According to the definition, given by modern Russian researcher V. A. Maslova: «language is both an instrument of creation, development, storage (in the frames of the text) of culture, and it is an inherited part of it, because the language means creation of a real, objectively existing discourses of material and spiritual culture» [22, p.At the beginning of the third millennium the global society found itself in a situation where the state and possible ways of further development of politics becomes one of the most widely discussed scientific problems.
This paper is structured as follows. After the introduction, the Chapter 1 will focus the attention on the theory of text corpora developed by different linguists: the most important features and properties will be reviewed. Chapter 2 being an emipical part of the researchwill deal with the analysis of English and American lexemes included into the structure of The GloWbE corpus words with reference of numbers of usage in American and British blogs and comparison of the meanings. After having conducted the analysis, some conclusions will be drawn.
