The important researches in the sphere of polysemy were made by Lyon who considers polysemy and homonymy as two types of lexical ambiguity and introduce some criteria for deciding when it is polysemy and when it is homonymy. One criterion is etymological information about the lexical item in question. Lexical items with the same origin are considered as polysemantic, whereas if they have evolved from distinct lexemes in some earlier stage of the language then they are regarded as homonymous [15].
The present research consists of an Introduction, a Chapter I, which is dedicated to the theoretical survey of the imagery and its types, a Chapter II, where we make an analysis of the usage of the imagery in Wilde’s poems. We describe the different types of the imagery which were used in the poems and its functions in the text.
And women may be just as good at earning the familys living, handling the accounts, fighting where necessary, and so on. Many men and women have proved that they can perform tasks traditionally reserved for the opposite sex.

Theoretical basis of the present paper are works of foreign researchers P. Auer, N.S. Dash, T.A. van Dijk, R. Finkbeiner, M. Ghadessy, M.A.K. Halliday, R. Kopytko, G. Leech, J. Lyons, J.L. Mey, M.D.P. Requelo, A. Verhagen, X. Xu and J. Zhu.
Whether it is possible to formulate a definition of what is intonation? For example, the Director of the Institute of linguistics Maxim Krongauz said that intonation is the most mysterious area of phonetics [2]. It is still not well understood, so there are many hypotheses in this area. There are many factors that have an influence on whether pleasant our conversant or not. This quality is intuitive in human being, but helps greatly during the speech.
