Abstract
In the economic literature there is a common view that more open economies are growing relatively faster. This statement is even more relevant in a period of increasing globalization, when forming financial and trade openness, which is accompanied by the accession of countries to the WTO.
This study looks at the question of negative and positive factors of Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO in 2015.
The analysis is based on macro — and microeconomic indicators of the country in the dynamics prior to the entry into WTO, as well as, a year after joining.
Empirical base of the research statistics were used in the development of the country. As the main methods of research used econometric analysis of the dynamics of indicators, their interdependence.
System factor features formed on the basis of the index of openness of the economy, which were proposed in the studies of Sachs-Warner (Sachs J. D. and Warner A. M. 1995).
According to this index, countries are divided into two groups: those with an open economy and a closed economy.
This paper investigates all the areas of development of Kazakhstan: economic, social, scientific.
