internal and external politics. One of the case studies is the Politics of Energy in the Russian-Ukrainian Gas Crisis of 2005-2010, and the other one is the Politics of Mega-sporting Events in the case of EURO 2012. After a thorough analysis of these two topics in relation to Ukraine's political realm, I will shed light on a bigger issue in Ukrainian society. Specifically, I will investigate the question of Ukrainian national identity from the perspective of the socially constructed idea of community. Each case study has a unique connection with defining an appropriate meaning and definition of Ukrainian identity. The case of the Russian-Ukrainian Gas Crisis 2005-2010 enables us to understand the ideological and political ties between Russia and Ukraine which historically have been both close and tense at different times. On the other hand, the case of Euro 2012 presents a challenge ahead for Ukrainian society as the meaning of European identity and democratization has not successfully been formed among the Ukrainian population. Therefore, I believe that this topic is unique in a way that both case studies will challenge the view and perception of Ukrainian identity for an outsider as well as for those who identify themselves as Ukrainians.

Метод case-study наиболее широко используется в обучении экономике и бизнес-наукам за рубежом (6).
Впервые он был применён в учебном процессе в школе права Гарвардского университета в 1870 году; внедрение этого метода в Гарвардской школе бизнеса началось в 1920 году. Первые подборки кейсов были опубликованы в 1925 году в Отчётах Гарвардского университета о бизнесе (11).

2. декабря 2012 г. № 27-ФЗ, ФГОС ООО (2010) и ряде других нормативных документов рассматривается идея компетентностного подхода. Согласно «Концепции Федеральной целевой программы развития образования на 2011 – 2015 годы», общеобразовательная школа должна формировать целостную систему универсальных знаний, умений, навыков, опыт самостоятельной деятельности и личной ответственности обучающихся, то есть компетенции, определяющие современное качество содержания образования. В документах об образовании подчеркнуто: результатом деятельности образовательных учреждений должна стать не система знаний, умений и навыков ученика сама по себе, а набор ключевых компетенций школьника в интеллектуальной, коммуникационной, информационной, социальной и других сферах.
The theoretical and practical value of the research presupposes further improvement in the creation of urban advertisements. Various factors should be taken into consideration while creating the advertisement. This study is also useful for the customers who want to be aware of the techniques used on them in order to avoid the purchase of unnecessary goods.

The objective of the research is to study the main trends and issues used when creating urban advertising. To achieve this goal the following tasks should be completed: 1) to analyze main types of urban advertising; 2) to consider its specifics; 3) to review the notion of creativity; 4) to examine trends and issues in creative advertising.
Innovations became increasingly important and changed the pattern of competition, especially in developed countries. And in order to effectively assess performance of different countries as well as to give advices on how to implement innovations in the most effective way the concept of National Innovation System (NIS) was developed. It was also noted by Nelson(1993) that this “set of institutions and their interactions determine the innovative performance of national firms”.
