Relevance of research is caused by that the set of universities which are ready to provide training services opens now. It should be noted also that many of them successfully come to the international level and can accept foreign students educating them the international level. However at all positive lines of modern universities, they have also negative sides. They have no such quality assurance, as at ancient universities of Great Britain, in particular Oxbridge. In this regard there is actual a studying of distinctive features of old British universities from modern analogs.
American and British fashion was chosen as the object of the study as these countries have had the leading roles in the world’s economic, political and social events of the 20th century.
Хронологические и географические рамки исследования включают период с 2001 года по настоящее время, так как именно события 2001 года послужили причиной перестройки государственного аппарата США, в том числе и системы миграционных служб. В последующие годы из-за вооруженных конфликтов в различных регионах мира (в первую очередь на Ближнем Востоке), увеличилось количество беженцев из данных стран, что в результате спровоцировало миграционный кризис в Европейских странах.

This paper is structured as follows. After the introduction, the Chapter 1 will focus the attention on the theory of text corpora developed by different linguists: the most important features and properties will be reviewed. Chapter 2 being an emipical part of the researchwill deal with the analysis of English and American lexemes included into the structure of The GloWbE corpus words with reference of numbers of usage in American and British blogs and comparison of the meanings. After having conducted the analysis, some conclusions will be drawn.
