The present research consists of an Introduction, a Chapter I, which is dedicated to the theoretical survey of the imagery and its types, a Chapter II, where we make an analysis of the usage of the imagery in Wilde’s poems. We describe the different types of the imagery which were used in the poems and its functions in the text.
The purpose of the course work is the analysis of selected poems Oscar Wilde in the framework of Impressionism.describe features of innovation «impressionistic cycle» of Oscar Wilde’s poems;to draw conclusions about the significance of Oscar Wilde’s poetry in impressionism.
The important researches in the sphere of polysemy were made by Lyon who considers polysemy and homonymy as two types of lexical ambiguity and introduce some criteria for deciding when it is polysemy and when it is homonymy. One criterion is etymological information about the lexical item in question. Lexical items with the same origin are considered as polysemantic, whereas if they have evolved from distinct lexemes in some earlier stage of the language then they are regarded as homonymous [15].
This is understandable because of what will be sporting achievements in the sport after 2, 4, 8, 12 or more years, largely depends on strategy and tactics for the selection and training of future contenders for the world and Olympic medals. This paper is structured as follows. After the introduction, the Chapter 1 will focus the attention on the theory of text corpora developed by different linguists: the most important features and properties will be reviewed. Chapter 2 being an emipical part of the researchwill deal with the analysis of English and American lexemes included into the structure of The GloWbE corpus words with reference of numbers of usage in American and British blogs and comparison of the meanings. After having conducted the analysis, some conclusions will be drawn.
Due to censorship by the Communist government of Czechoslovakia, his books were banned from his native country, and that remained the case until the downfall of this government in the Velvet Revolution in 1989. The art of this Czech writer nowadays is very popular and relevant, because of describing the truth of the relations between Czechoslovakia and Russia and facing the greatest existential problems that people are faced with: love, death, transcendence, the sense of continuity or «heaviness» that is provided by memory, and the contrasting sense of «lightness» that is brought about by forgetting.
