Introduction
Language borrowing foreign words, do not leave them unchanged
over a long period of time. These words are gradually converted in accordance with its phonetic, morphological and lexical regularities are in line with the system
language as a whole, undergo a process of assimilation, assimilation.
As a result of this process of borrowing lose their foreign language character, no longer stand out from the specific to borrowed language vocabulary, became an integral part.
The object of this study are the loanwords in the English language. The subject of our study is the process of penetration, assimilation and retention of loanwords in English.
Relevance of research is defined growing trend of penetration of different vocabulary in all strata of the vocabulary of modern English, as well as heated debates of modern linguists about the consequences of this process for the English linguocultural environment, its development prospects.
The aim of our work — to reveal features of loanwords in English
Research objectives:
- 1) analyze the causes and ways of loanwords
2) identify ways to assimilate
3) identify the features of assimilation.
4) Find the confirmation of the existence of assimilation in English.
The theoretical significance of the study is that its findings and conclusions can complement existing in the linguistic literature in the field of information theory, language contact and cultural linguistics.
