On the one hand many people are concerned that those responsible for the financial problems are the ones being bailed out, while on the other hand, a global financial meltdown will affect the livelihoods of almost everyone in an increasingly inter-connected world. The problem could have been avoided, if ideologues supporting the current economics models weren’t so vocal, influential and inconsiderate of others’ viewpoints and concerns.
1. Profitability – its ability to earn income and sustain growth in both short-term and long-term. A company’s degree of profitability is usually based on the income statement, which reports on the company’s results of operations.
And in order to effectively assess performance of different countries as well as to give advices on how to implement innovations in the most effective way the concept of National Innovation System (NIS) was developed.The emergence of the NIS concept can be traced back to works of Freeman and Lundvall in the mid 1980s. The NIS framework suggests that the “research system’s ultimate goal is innovation and that the system is part of a larger system composed of sectors like government, university and industry and their environment” (Godin, 2007).
One of new industries for which social media seem to be a natural choice for marketing is e-health, internally diverse industry developing new IT solutions for medical and healthcare tasks. Although e-health is by definition closely related to new information and communication technologies, and is deeply embedded in the virtual environment of the Internet, surprisingly little is known of how SMM is implemented by the companies working in this industry. The current study addresses this lack of evidence.
