Lexical meaning of every word depends upon the part of speech to which the word belongs. Every word may be used in a limiting set of syntactical functions, and with the definite valency. It has a definite set of grammatical meanings, and a definite set of forms.
The minimal units of language that exhibit a systematic pairing of sound and meaning thus do not correspond to words, but to in fact something more basic. For the moment, however, let’s keep to a very intuitive idea about what words are, and focus on morphemes. Once we better understand the nature of morphemes, and the rules regulating how morphemes can be combined, and once we further see how these units relate to “higher level” units of linguistic expression, we will be in a better position to define words properly.

In order to form a theoretical base of the research, we have analysed works of V.I. Kodukov, V.V. Babaytseva, V.N. Migirin, E.C. Cubreacov, V.M. Nikitevich, V.V. Lopatin, E.P. Kalechits, V.V. Bogdanov, A. Bondarenko, N.D. Arutyunova, V.V. Lopatin and many other significant thinkers. As for the sources written in Spanish, works of Pérez Rioja J.A., Francisco Matte Bon, José Roca Pons were considered to be central.
Above is a famous excerpt from Hitler’s speech about “freeing” the German speaking Austrians along the borders in order to justify claiming ethnic German lands in 1938. After reading the excerpt above, change the words Germans to Russians, and the Third Reich to Russian Federation. Does this sound familiar to you? It is precisely what is happening in Ukraine. Even though Putin’s intentions maybe different, his methods are very similar to those that Hitler used when he invaded Austria and continued along to invade further East. It is really hard and hurting to admit, but if 70 years ago Hitler would know that Russians started a war against Ukrainians, and Germans would be standing by and cheering along, he would not be entirely wrong to claim that in the end the Third Reich won WWII.

The work starts with the introduction revealing the preview of the problem studied in it and the main aspects of making the research. Two parts of the content are subdivided into units. The first part is a theoretical one; it deals with the concepts of prosody and intonation of English language. The second one is practical; it contains the analysis of the intonation patterns and tone groups. The work is ended with the conclusion. Finally, the bibliography is added.
